What BNI Means 2 Me:
Marc McCarter – He has been getting up at 7am and networking with a group of great people for the past 17 years and it is not just the business that makes it worth it, it’s the people with whom business is being done with.

BNI Core Values # 6 Accountability –
We keep the promises we make, especially when it is hard to do so. This creates trust and supports strong relationships.

Education:
Things you should do to be successful in BNI:
1 – Don’t show up late or multi task
2 – Don’t show up at all (absences)
3 – Don’t Not inviting visitors.
4 – Don’t Use other peoples 60 second presentation
5 – Don’t Focus efforts on selling services to members
6 – Don’t NOT rush on following up on a referral received
7 – Don’t use 1-2-1’s to only talk about the chapter (complaints etc.).
8 – Don’t wing it with the 60 second presentation
9 – Don’t use 10 minute presentation to explain minute details of how business works
10 – Don’t air grievances among the group
Bottom line – be present and be positive

The power of one: January

It was designed to help one specific issue: How does one member easily interpret the data shared during their BNI meeting and understand if their activity is on par or not. The power of one is simply described as a history report of your activities over the past 6 months. So if your score is not quite what you want it to be, remember that activity you have for this month in each column will begin to improve your score next month! This report allows you to understand two things instantaneously:

Are you being active enough to achieve the results you desire?
What areas do you need to be more active in to achieve your goals?

How do you become more effective in your networking’s? You learn the skills. How do we learn the skills? Training and continuous education. BNI gives you access to specific training on how to become more effective in the system.

Presenter:
Brian Kell – Victory Auto in Wyoming MN – Open June 29 2019. His key to success is to never ask someone to do something you won’t do yourself. VA has been around since 1997, 8 locations in MN. Brian is the manager of the location in Wyoming MN. VA is a full service auto service facility. The only thing they really don’t do is body repair. Glass however is their specialty – including mobile repair. Alignments is also something they take pride in. Regular checkups, tlc and maintenance is key to avoid the check engine lights. They have access to computers to scan for check engine light errors. They can also reprogram of modules that have been replaced so they work right. Listen watch feel and smell for something not perfect with the car. He’ll make sure they are taken care of. Victory Auto Service & Glass | Award-Winning Auto Repair

Quote: The most difficult thing is the decision to act, the rest is merely tenacity. The fears are paper tigers. You can do anything you decide to do. You can act to change and control your life; and the procedure, the process is its own reward. – Amelia Earhart
